Halinor walked to her bike, she could feel them coming for her. She was half way to her bike when she heard a growl. She turned around to see two wolves and one man. “Ok, so you found me, but I’m not going back to Cole.”
The one with ice blue eyes smiled coldly at her, “ Well I’m sorry, Miss. Fairchild, but the boss wants to see you and can do this the hard way or the easy way, your choice.”
“ I choose the hard way.” she ran to her bike and jumped on it but one of the wolves tackled her to the ground, along with her bike. “Ugh!” the wolf was digging his claws on her skin, she bit her lip so she wouldn’t cry out.
“Now be a good girl and come along quietly.” She shook her head “Very well then Halinor.” he nodded at the wolf, that was still on her. The wolf diged his claws in her shoulder more and he growled at her. She bit her lip until it started to bleed.
I’m so not dieing here or at the hands of Cole, she thought as she head butted the wolf and he let go of her.
She pushed the wolf off her and blasted him with her mind and he whimpered.
“Halinor, stop this now. You can’t out run Cole forever.”
“Yes, I can Jared.” she snarled at him.
Jared clapped his hands, “So you do remember me, well done, Hallie.”
“Don’t call me that.” she snapped.
“Well we can catch up later, but now you must come with me.” he said.
She shook her head, “Hell no.” she ran back to the club but he grabbed her arm and pulled her to him, “Let me go!”
“Nope.” He whispered in her ear as he pulled her into his arms.
Halinor tried to get out of his arms. Shit!, she thought.
Alec walked out the club and he saw Sapphire in another man’s arms, with two young wolf shifters next to them. He frowned when he saw her try and get out his the man’s arms. He didn’t like to see her in the arms of another man, in fact he wanted to kill the man for touching her.
Alec growled at them and his hands changed into claws, “Leave her alone.”
The two wolves turned to him as did the man holding Sapphire, she looked so scarred but so fierce to get away from the man and wolves.
“No, now leave us alone, shifter.” Jared said.
“No, I own the city and you will leave her alone or…you’ll leave this city with just one arm, understand.”
Jared nodded and let go of her and she took a couple steps away from them. “We understand, but if she leaves the city, she’s ours.”
Alec nodded as they walked away into the shadows and he turned to Sapphire, ”Are you okay?”
She just looked at him in, what he thought was shock. He walked to her slowly as his hand turned back to normal and he touched her arm and saw she was bleeding, “Your hurt…come I’ll clean you up.” he put am arm around her.
Halinor was in shock, first Cole’s men attack her and second a strange man saves her and now he wants to help her more. She just couldn’t believe it but having his arm around felt so right and so she leaned on him as they walked to his car. He held the door open for her and she got in and then he got in. He start the car, “I’m Alec McNeal, by the way, Sapphire.” he said with a small smile.
“My name isn’t Sapphire that’s just my stage name.”
“Oh, so what is your real then?” he asked.
“Halinor Fairchild.”
“Nice name.” he smiled.
“Thanks.” Halinor smiled a bit as he started the car.
He turned on the heater when he saw her rubbing her hands together, ”Thanks.” she said.
“Your welcome, Halinor.” he said.Alec pulled out the club's car park and onto the busy streets of Edinburgh. Halinor looked out the window and she saw people having a good time, walking to bars all dressed to impress. She sighed and thought,
Why did bloody Cole have to come back into her life again? She was doing great before he wanted her back and he had to send fucking Jared! Ugh! She should have killed Cole when She had the chance. She looked over at Alec, he was a very handsome man with a strong jaw, sharp cheek bones and straight nose. He was very tanned man and muscular, he looked like an old warrior from long ago one who had seen his far share of death. But his eyes where the most gorgeous thing about him, his eyes where like pure icey blue, they almost looked white. She bet herself that she could lose herself by just looking into those gorgeous eyes. But his lips looked so kissable, not too thin but not to big either. Just right for kissing. She had to look away before she did something she might regret, so she looked out the window again.
Alec could smell Halinor, she smelled like honey no warm honey, honey that he wanted to taste. He shook his head as he drove up to his town house in the centre of Edinburgh. He lived there on his own but he has a house just outside the city for his pack to stay at because the house is surrounded by a thick, lush forest. It was really beautiful there and he would have taken Halinor there but...since that he-wolf said if she was outside the city then that he-wolf could have her. But he guessed he could have Eric, Luke and AnnaStarr come and help protect Halinor. He really hoped that his pack and family wouldn't jump to the conclusion that Halinor is his...mate because she wasn't. He sighed as he turned off the car and got out then he walked around the car and opened her door and helped her out and then he closed the door and locked his car. He took her arm and walked with her into the town house and to the elevator, he pushed the four floor button then the doors close. He held her arm gently and he looked at her with worry because she looked so very pale and small. He knew he had to be gentle with her or he could break her like a twig. He walked out the elevator with her and walked into his apartment, the white marble floors, the cream walls where all very calming thanks to his other cousin Lisha who is a interior designer and a verry good one. He liked this place but it was too posh for him but others loved it and jugding by the look on Halinor's face she loved it too. He hoped. He took her into the living room and sat her on the white leather sofa.
"Just wait right here while I get the first aid box."he said calmly.
"No, I'm fine, really."she said as she looked around then she looked at him. She looked so brave but yet so sad. He walked to the kitchen to get the first aid box.
Halinor was in shock at how lovely and posh this palce was, the floor was white marble with little lines of black running threw it, like black rivers.
