Yes, another digital work by yours truly. A digital work, not much time involved, right? I have read statements made by some that digital art isn't really art; that it takes very little time and effort to create a digital work. I've also read when an artist has created a digital piece and spent "only" a few hours on it, but yet, said it took them a long time. Hmmm.. a long time? Perhaps, for some digital artists, but certainly not true with my digital pieces. I have works that have taken me weeks, even months. Many of my works are "combinations of works", as well, as I will explain with this work, because it IS a "combination of works". Let's take the tress, for example. I spent weeks creating a number of different trees, beginning with making a number of different leaves and then putting them together with a variety of "tree structures", thus making a number of different trees and tree shapes. Another aspect is Galadriël, herself, shown in the piece, Galadriël-n-Castle-Grande_By-Artsieladie. I spent weeks creating her. She was originally a 'he', but since the build, the physique, wasn't quite masculine enough for a stallion, I made the intended stallion into a mare, Galadriël, and a unicorn. Then at a later date and time, I decided to go back to my original intention and recreate it and thus, it then became Astounding-Stallion-Pegasus-By-Artsieladie. Also, the "metallic gold" fencing was another artistic undertaking, as was also the "flowers of love". The castle, itself, took weeks, and the PSDs involved, especially one, is a very big file, a few hundred MBs. This piece is also a redo, as well, for the same reasons I've already explained. I wasn't happy especially with the trees in the original, nor with its overall contrast quality, which, working with a monitor having a dark screen, makes it difficult to distinguish and clarify details, and I am one who is a stickler with/for details. |
I'm not happy I have to add this block of text notice to every page, because my artwork is being stolen right and left, used by non-members and is being offered as 'free to use' on/from other websites in their collections without my permission, since "created by/copyrighted to" doesn't seem to be sufficient enough for some who make it a habit to steal other people's works. So, to those who are thinking about taking, using, offering to others MY work, etc., violating my copyright, this next chunk of text leaves you with NO excuse for violating my copyright. FYI: "I" have never placed ANY of my works in 'public domain'!!! |
