Oh, wait a second man. When I said I was a seeker of truths I wasn't talking specificaly about this contest. I already know what happened. The dark and evil lords of EP [Hedda] and Lilo, decided to flex their ultimate powers, and so that is all there is to it as far as I am concerned.

In that example, I am convinced that people were voting based on the song that people picked more so then the illustration that they created.

The point of the contest was not supposed to be "who can pick the most popular song" but "who can draw the best representation of a song"

Because of that I seriously considered throwing out the poll results, so I can understand that good reasons to come along to pick a differant winner.

All of that aside, this was [Hedda]'s contest from the start so he picks the winners, using the poll as a guide as is always done.

2006-08-20 [Larova]: Part of the issue is apparently the number of contests she's already won. From the looks of it, she wasn't disqualified at all, she was simply ineligible from the start for reasons beyond her current control.

Besides, I really do think it is a problem. Is it okay for the people that have the most friends to win so many contests in a row? The poll is just a guide, the crew that runs the contests has always used their own judgment when picking winners

2006-08-20 [~*Astarte*~]: Maybe setting a policy such as... "If you've won a contest (winning = 1st, 2nd or 3rd place) within the past (pick a length of time), you may enter the contest if you wish, but will be ineligible to win." Allowing someone to participate in a contest - thinking they have a chance to win (because they haven't been told otherwise), in my opinion, doesn't set a good example. If Hedda felt that Sasha had won too many contests recently, and would be ineligible to win this particular one, why didn't he say something to her when she entered? I get that EP is Hedda's - I get that what he says here is the law - I also get that with leadership comes a huge amount of responsibility (not to mention lots of other stuff)... Possibly, Hedda's viewpoint is correct - and from what I've read, no one is really disputing his stance - just the manner by which he went about handling the decision he made.

2006-08-20 [~*Astarte*~]: Very true. It seems to me that much could have been avoided by setting some guidelines beforehand. Someone's feelings have been hurt - and of course, Hedda is not responsible for Sasha's feelings - she is, he is responsible for setting appropriate and fair guidelines for contests or participation in such here at EP before the contests begin - not after. My sense is Hedda would not intentionally do or say something to hurt someone else. Now that the situation has arisen, and it has become apparent that this issue could conceivably happen again, would it not be a good idea, to put together some basic guidelines regarding participation by EP members who have recently won a contest (or two)?

It was not fair that he suddenly disqualify me even though he had 2 chances to keep me out of the voting. It is apparent that he didnt plan this, and just did it at the end, which is wrong. And I am hurt. I am in another contest at the moment too, that has been going on for a while. And I feel sad to know that I may not be eligible for that one either. Because I was looking forward to it. But it seems like I cant now. Dont get me wrong, I just like contests. They keep me busy, and my mind focused. So now I have nothing to look forward to. Conditions would have to be given, or else everyone would get in on some contests in the beginning, and then lose eligibility toward what s/he really wanted--The poet, because of her interesting entry in the ice-entombed clay model sculpture contest, has to look at the 1st-place trophy on the house of the lesser-skilled poet.

2006-11-26 [Hedda]: Well, you have a lot more than one image in your image-description. Then it's impossible to edit that (without removing all but one image) now as more than one images isn't accepted anymore.

I felt I had to put this limit up to make it possible to browse houses. You're of course free to but as many pictures you want on wiki-pages and you can have 10 images in your description-part.

You still can have a lot of stuff in your presentation and it was a mistake that the image-description allowed things that didn't belong there. You can still use it as you want, but it's harder to misuse it now

No one here really cares if you steal photos from google, just put them in a wiki so your house can load in less than an hour :\

2006-12-16 [FireGypsy]: You can block member is PM's, just go to that persons house, scroll all the waydown, and click he Block button. As for wikis, it is out of the question. You can't deny someone the right to comment on a wiki. Sure some people have quarrels, but usually they get resolved.

I am quite tired of the constant fighting that has been on-going between you two. You seem unable to resolve anything by talking, so I think it is best that you do not talk to each other at all, on any wiki page.
